Read here to find out more about what it is like to work at Work Solutions Gippsland as some of our employees share their experiences and thoughts with you.

I have been a part of the Work Solutions Gippsland team since January 2013. I was in the telecommunications industry for 14 years then a personal loss of a loved one made me realise that it was time for a change.

I have thoroughly embraced the new challenges of this role and cannot think of a better place to work. What other organisation gives you the opportunity to improve someone’s life through employment. Every day, I am amazed at how dedicated my clients are to finding employment regardless of their disability or barrier.

There is no better feeling than helping a client achieve long term sustainable employment. I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the most inspiring people who motivate me every day to come to work and do what we do at Work Solutions Gippsland.  There is no greater fulfilment than identifying the ability in someone and matching that person to a suitable employer.

I have met some amazing employers out there in the Gippsland community who do wonderful things for our clients. The best part about being an Employment Consultant is when you place a client into employment and you see the joy in that client and realise that you’ve made a real difference – it’s the greatest satisfaction one can have.

The main reason I took this position at Work Solutions Gippsland was to help people with disabilities and make a real difference in their lives by helping them gain employment in the local community.

It is very rewarding to be able to assist my clients, whether it be finding them employment or just building their confidence to grow and to be able to cope with their day to day lives.

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing the difference that employment can have on someone’s life.

I love working at Working Solutions Gippsland – I have a great team. The training is great and allows me to get the support and guidance l need to fulfil my duties as an Employment Consultant.

I was lucky enough to attend the DEA conference in Adelaide this year. It was a fantastic experience and I learned so much. It gave me the opportunity to meet new people and broaden my knowledge which in turn benefits my clients.

I started at Work Solutions Gippsland in March 2009. My position as an Employment Consultant has been by far the most challenging and rewarding job I have ever had and I love it!

We have a great team and I have made good friends with many of my colleagues. I have learned many new skills and things I would never have thought I would do, like how a dairy works, when is the best time to pick grapes for wine and the art of making a good coffee. I have gained such a valuable insight into my local community and the people in it.

The favourite part of my job is the pleasure of seeing someone achieve their goals through employment and the smile this brings to their face. Watching a client’s confidence grow is extremely satisfying and rewarding. Equally rewarding is being able to assist employers and business owners by providing real solutions to their workforce needs.

The people I work with inspire me everyday to try a little harder, work a little smarter and to never give up on my dreams.
